Flame of Change Unifying Support Individual Recipient Rosney Snell

Recipient of the 2015 FOCUS Award for outstanding service by an individual

Rosney Snell is the CEO of Northern Regional Aboriginal Family Domestic Violence Service – Nunga Mi:Minar. She has worked for Nunga MiMinar for 10 years. In late 2005, the Nunga Mi:Minar Inc. Board of Governance had identified the need for the organisation’s significant restructure, and offered Rosney the challenge to lead this community-based NGO state service forward.

The now established unique service model, acceptable to the community and Board, is a significant milestone not only in progressing appropriate services within the communities they are intended, but critically the facility now demonstrates a national leadership role in the service delivery of services specific to individual needs. ThroughRosney’s leadership as the CEO the organization makes a difference in the Community.
