What We Offer

The Ana Wardli Towards Home Intensive Family Support program provides a culturally informed, family-led outreach support service integrated with a strengths based, trauma-informed and culturally responsive model of assessment and support to vulnerable Aboriginal families.

We use a trauma-sensitive approach and assertive outreach to support children and families who have experienced trauma or adversity. We aim to empower families and build upon their strengths by

incorporating family-led decision-making to increase safety within the home while lowering risk.  This approach is aimed to prevent families having any further involvement with the child protection system.

Towards Home provides a range of integrated services to improve family functioning and skills over a 6-month period. We provide assessments and case plans in collaboration with each family based on the needs they have identified with our team. This could include parenting education, counselling, family, domestic and sexual violence or any other support that the family require with the aim to create a warm referral to

specialist services.

The KWY model meets people within the home or in a culturally safe place where the family feels comfortable.

Eligibility

The service is for families with children aged birth to 18 who have been identified through the child protection process.
